Description
The Vandoren V16 alto saxophone reed was developed in 1993 at the request of American jazz musicians who wanted a Java reed with even more cane. The thicker tip and longer palette compared to the Traditional give the V16 a brighter, more percussive sound that is particularly well suited to jazz and contemporary styles of music. Strength 2 is a widely chosen lighter option that combines the characteristic V16 sound with easy response and sufficient volume for ensemble and band playing. Well-suited to advancing jazz saxophonists. Supplied in a box of 10 in Flow Pack packaging.

In 1993 the V16 was developed to meet the demands of a number of musicians, they wanted a Java reed that was even thicker. This gives the V16 a more brilliant, percussive sound which fits new styles of music particularly well.
