The flute is one of the oldest and most widely used wind instruments. The flute we know today was designed in 1847 by Theobald Boehm. Small additions and variations to his system are common, but the acoustic structure of the tube remains almost exactly as he designed it.

Our Flute Centre is completely independent and will not steer your choice towards a particular brand. We have transverse flutes and piccolos of various types and brands in stock, including Altus, Azumi, Brannen Cooper, Haynes, Lafin, Mancke, Muramatsu, Miyazawa, Nagahara, Pearl, Powell, Sonaré, and Yamaha. The choice is entirely yours!
