Powder Paper

Powder Paper is maintenance paper for the keys of woodwind instruments with sticky pads. The semi-transparent powder reduces stickiness, allowing the keys to respond more directly. First use cleaning paper to remove all moisture from the pad. Then place the powder paper between the pad and the tone hole, with the non-printed side facing the pad, and gently close the key a few times. Repeat this two to three times, using a clean area of the sheet each time. Do not pull the paper out while the key is closed.
