Description
The Bruno Tilz 214 6 1/2 AS-3 is a silver-plated trombone mouthpiece from the Spezial Bruno Tilz 214 series, built with a large bore for tenor trombone and baritone. Bruno Tilz hand-crafts this mouthpiece in Neustadt an der Aisch, in the same 214 line as the smaller-bore models in this series, but with more room for air and sound volume. Players choose this mouthpiece over a smaller bore when they want more body and a fuller register without moving to a bass trombone mouthpiece. The 25.50 mm cup diameter and 6.50 mm bore pair with a medium-deep cup and a medium-wide rim, giving a round, supported sound. This large-bore trombone mouthpiece suits wind band settings where a tenor trombonist needs more volume and depth in the tone.
