The Bruno Tilz 214 6 1/2 AS -1 -Extra is a silver-plated trombone mouthpiece from the Spezial Bruno Tilz 214 series, built with a small bore for tenor trombone. This is the Extra version of the 6 1/2 AS model, with slightly more mass than the regular version, giving a more core-centered sound. Players choose this shank size when their instrument has a smaller mouthpiece receiver, without it changing anything about the model's sound design. The 25.50 mm cup diameter and 6.50 mm bore pair with a medium-deep cup and a medium-wide rim, giving a full, supported sound. This trombone mouthpiece suits wind band and symphonic settings where a tenor trombonist wants a round, warm tone.
