The Vandoren Java Filed Red alto saxophone reed was developed to expand on the original Java, retaining all of its characteristics while offering greater sonic possibilities. The reed is more flexible than the standard Java and has slightly more tonal body, producing a full, rich and centred sound with excellent projection and an extremely precise attack. Strength 4 is the heaviest option in the Java Filed Red range for alto saxophone and is intended exclusively for experienced professional saxophonists with a fully developed embouchure and airstream. It delivers an exceptionally full, dark and rich jazz sound with maximum carrying power. Supplied in a box of 10.
