Description
The Vandoren Java alto saxophone reed was developed in 1983 for jazz and popular music. The thicker tip and more flexible palette compared to the Traditional reed allow vibration over a larger surface area with maximum elasticity. The waves are absorbed further from the tip than in the Traditional reed, creating a large elasticity zone and greater playing flexibility. Strength 2.5 is the most commonly chosen mid-range option in the Java range: enough resistance for a full, projecting jazz sound while retaining the characteristic suppleness. Well-suited to advanced and professional jazz saxophonists. Supplied in a box of 10.
