Description
The Légère American Cut is a synthetic alto saxophone reed made from polypropylene, reinforced through an orientation process that aligns the polymer fibres for consistent stiffness and response. The profile concentrates material at the centre of the reed, emphasising higher overtones and producing a bright, vibrant sound with pronounced colour and immediate attack. Strength 2.5 is a widely chosen mid-range option that combines balanced resistance with the characteristic brightness and expressiveness of the American Cut. Well-suited to advancing jazz saxophonists and players in contemporary styles who want a fuller tone with adequate projection. No soaking required, will not warp, sold individually.
