Drum Dial Tuners

Description

The Drum Dial is a mechanical drum tuner that measures the tension of the head itself, not the torque of the tension rods. You place the gauge on the head at each rod and read the tension on the dial. Because you do not need to strike anything, you tune in silence and the gauge also works in a loud environment, such as a rehearsal room where others are playing. This lets you bring the head to an even tension and find the same tuning again after changing a head. With timpani, too, good tuning is largely about the right head tension. The Drum Dial is suitable for drummers and percussionists who want to tune snare drums, toms and timpani accurately and repeatably.
