Description
The Miraphone Hagen 494 is a BBb bass tuba in a 3/4 size, built in Waldkraiburg, Germany, from yellow brass with a lacquered finish. With a 430 mm bell diameter, an 18.8 mm bore and four rotary valves with a spiral spring system, this instrument produces a warm, rich sound with consistent intonation throughout the entire register. Its ergonomic size makes it easy to handle, including during performances. The Hagen 494 is well suited to wind bands, smaller orchestras and brass bands, while also appealing to solo players. Supplied with a Miraphone TU19 mouthpiece and gig bag.
