Description
The Vincent Bach Mega Tone K351 1E shares the same cup as the Classic 351 1E: a 17.00mm cup diameter with a shallow cup and backbore #117. The extra mass of the mouthpiece body produces a darker, warmer tone than the Classic version, while the shallow cup keeps the high register accessible. This combination is distinctive, since the Mega Tone version is mainly chosen for tonal depth and stability, while the shallow cup specifically facilitates the high register. Throat #26 is slightly larger than the standard #27, giving a freer response. Suited to soprano and piccolo trumpet where more tonal stability is desired than the Classic version offers.
