Description
The Vincent Bach Mega Tone K351 1¼C shares the same cup as the Classic 351 1¼C: a 17.00mm cup diameter and a medium cup. The extra mass of the mouthpiece body, weighing more than double the Classic version, produces a darker, warmer tone with better tone centring. The slightly larger throat #26 gives a slightly freer response. This mouthpiece is suited to powerful trumpet players in large symphonic ensembles who know the 1¼C and deliberately choose the fuller, more stable tone colour of the Mega Tone version. The large cup diameter gives a carrying, compact tone. Requires a well-trained embouchure.
