Description
The Schilke 6A4A is a Standard Series trumpet mouthpiece with a cup diameter of 15.99mm, originally developed for Bill Chase, lead trumpet with Woody Herman and leader of his own jazz-rock fusion band Chase. With a shallow A cup, cushion #4 rim and tight 'a' backbore, this is a specialist mouthpiece aimed at extreme upper register work. The smallest cup diameter in the Standard Series, combined with the shallow cup and tight backbore, provides the grip and resistance that extreme lead players rely on. The 6A4A is the right choice for players who need the most compact option in the Standard Series for consistently strong playing in the extreme upper register.
