Schilke 10B4

Description

The Schilke 10B4 is a Standard Series trumpet mouthpiece with a cup diameter of 16.43mm, the same as the 10A4 and 10A4A, but with a medium-small B cup and semi-flat #4 rim. The funnel-shaped B cup provides a balanced tone quality with support in the upper register. The 10B4 is the right choice if you want to play on the 10A4 diameter but find the shallow A cup too shallow for a full tone and the standard C cup too deep. It sits between the lead-oriented A cup variants and the all-round C cup models in this diameter range, making it a practical option for big band, ensemble and wind band work.
