Description
The K&G 5.5B Large is a silver-plated mouthpiece for tenor trombone with a large bore, designed for the trombonist looking for the versatile B cup within the K&G range. The 25.50 mm cup diameter combined with the medium depth B cup gives a rich sound projection with plenty of flexibility across the full register, and is described by K&G as an excellent all-round mouthpiece. At K&G, the B cup is a popular choice for solo and lead playing, in both orchestral and big band settings. The 6.75 mm bore supports a controlled airflow that reinforces the cup's direct articulation. The large bore makes this model suited to trombones with a larger slide bore, with the same B character as the small bore version.
