Description

The Vandoren V16 alto saxophone reed was developed in 1993 at the request of American jazz musicians who wanted a Java reed with even more cane. The thicker tip and longer palette compared to the Traditional give the V16 a brighter, more percussive sound that is particularly well suited to jazz and contemporary styles of music. Strength 5 is the heaviest option in the V16 range for alto saxophone and is intended exclusively for experienced professional saxophonists with a fully developed embouchure and airstream. It delivers an exceptionally full, dark and powerful sound with maximum carrying power for the most demanding performance settings. Supplied in a box of 10 in Flow Pack packaging.
