Description

The Vandoren Java alto saxophone reed was developed in 1983 for jazz and popular music. The thicker tip and more flexible palette compared to the Traditional reed allow vibration over a larger surface area with maximum elasticity. The waves are absorbed further from the tip than in the Traditional reed, creating a large elasticity zone and greater playing flexibility. Strength 4 is the heaviest option in the Java range for alto saxophone and is intended exclusively for experienced professional saxophonists with a fully developed embouchure and airstream. It delivers an exceptionally full, dark and powerful jazz sound with maximum carrying power. Supplied in a box of 10.
