Description
The Légère Classic is a synthetic alto saxophone reed made from polypropylene, reinforced through an orientation process that aligns the polymer fibres for consistent stiffness and durability. The thicker tip and heart give the Classic a darker, rounder sound than the Signature, with fewer overtones and a purer, more straightforward tone. Strength 2 is the lightest option and responds readily, making it a practical choice for beginner and student saxophonists still developing their embouchure. Also well-suited to wind band and marching band contexts where a blending ensemble sound takes priority over tonal complexity. No soaking required, will not warp, ready to play immediately. Sold individually.
