Description
The Légère Classic is a synthetic alto saxophone reed made from polypropylene, reinforced through an orientation process that aligns the polymer fibres for consistent stiffness and durability. The thicker tip and heart give the Classic a darker, rounder sound than the Signature, with fewer overtones and a purer, homogeneous tone that blends well in ensemble settings. Strength 3 offers more resistance and suits saxophonists with a firm embouchure who want a full, warm sound with good projection in wind band or brass and woodwind ensemble. The reed handles intensive rehearsal schedules and outdoor performances without any change in response. No soaking required, will not warp, sold individually.

Product Information
The Classic Series reeds for saxophone are extremely durable. The original cut is based on the first prototype and produces a darker, focused sound. The thicker tip makes it ideal for projecting and providing a full, rich and percussive sound.
The Classic Series is more percussive than the Signature Series making it ideal for marching bands and large ensembles.

Did you recently buy a Légère Reed, but you are not satisfied with it, and would like to try another size?
You can now exchange your reed within 30 days after you've bought the first reed by clicking on the link below.
When you fill in the form on the exchange page Légère will review your request within three business days. If your request is granted you will receive a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form, which you need to send the product to Légère Germany. Do not send the reed without RMA form because it will be rejected and send back to you.
The exchange is only possible for Légère saxophone and clarinet reeds. Bassoon and Oboe reeds will not be exchanged.
There is a maximum of 5 reeds per person per year.
