Zildjian K1224

Description

The Zildjian K1224 is a 14 1/4" K Custom Hybrid hi-hat, developed together with drummer Akira Jimbo and suited to drummers looking for a modern, versatile hi-hat for studio and stage work. The cymbals are cast from B20 bronze alloy, with a medium thin top and a medium bottom, giving a balanced tone. The reverse mastersound "hybrid hammering" on the bottom cymbal increases the contact area between the cymbals, producing a warmer chick and wash than a standard mastersound hi-hat. The 14 1/4" size carries the same character as the 13 1/4" version, but with extra volume and breadth to the sound. This hi-hat delivers a powerful, dark tone with a short sustain, and suits modern jazz, studio work, country and medium rock.
