The Istanbul Mehmet HHL12 is a 12" hi-hat from the Traditional series, with a light weight designed for drummers looking for a warm, dark hi-hat without too much mass. The cymbal pair is handcrafted in Istanbul, fully lathed top and bottom, and made from B20 bronze alloy. This combination gives the hi-hat a dark, thin character with a soft, rounded chick and balanced overtones on closed play. Because the hi-hat is light in weight, it stays easy to play and responds sensitively to both sticks and brushes. The result is a hi-hat that feels at home in jazz, but thanks to its dynamics also works well for rock and lighter styles.
