Description
The Adams Bb 4/4 bass tuba is a fully handcrafted instrument from the Selected Series, built from sheet material with a wall thickness of 0.60 mm yellow brass. The bell has a diameter of 450 mm and is hand-hammered, as are all conical parts. The instrument has four front-action pistons and a fifth rotary valve operated by the thumb, with a bore of 19 mm on the first three valves increasing to 20.5 mm on the fifth. The stainless steel valves are finished on CNC grinding machines to tolerances of 0.005 mm. The finish is silver plated. Supplied with case, valve oil, slide grease and cleaning cloth.
