Vincent Bach, 351 series, 3D

Description

The Vincent Bach 351 3D is a trumpet mouthpiece with the same cup diameter as the 3C (16.3 mm) and a medium rim, but with a shallower cup and a different backbore (#76). That combination produces a brighter, lighter tone character than the 3C and makes the upper register more accessible, at the cost of some fullness in the lower register. The 3D is therefore a logical choice for players who find the 3C cup diameter comfortable but want to move towards lead or solo playing, or who are active in a high ensemble register. The shallower cup depth places greater demands on lip control in the lower register but reduces resistance in the upper. Inner bore 3.66 mm, backbore #76, silver-plated brass.
