Schilke 16C4

Description

The Schilke 16C4 is a Standard Series trumpet mouthpiece originally developed for Thomas Stevens, principal trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic from 1972 to 2000. With a cup diameter of 17.20mm, a standard C cup and semi-flat #4 rim, it provides a more traditional feel than the standard 16. The #4 rim offers increased endurance and the overall setup compares closely in feel to a 1½C. The 16C4 is a strong option for orchestral and harmonie players who want a larger mouthpiece diameter with the stability and support of a flatter rim profile. An established choice for full, centred orchestral tone production.
