Description
The Schilke 15A4 is a Standard Series trumpet mouthpiece with a cup diameter of 17.14mm, a shallow A cup, semi-flat #4 rim and standard 'c' backbore. It shares the cup and rim characteristics of the 15A4A, but the more open 'c' backbore provides less resistance and a freer-blowing feel in the upper register. The 15A4 is the right choice when you want the 15A4A characteristics with a slightly less compressed response. A practical option for lead playing in big band and commercial work where a larger cup diameter than the 14A4 models is wanted with more freedom of blow.
