Denis Wick 6181

Description

The Denis Wick 6181 HeavyTop Booster is a silver-plated accessory that slips over an existing Classic mouthpiece to convert it into a HeavyTop. The extra weight of the booster transfers more energy through the horn and to the bell, resulting in a more powerful sound, more secure high-register playing and a more focused tone. The sound takes on a darker quality with a deeper core, making the booster well suited to large venues and outdoor performances. It is easily fitted and removed, allowing a player to switch quickly between a fuller, more projected sound profile and a brighter, more open tonal character for chamber music or intimate jazz settings.
