Description
The Bruno Tilz 215 - 2 1/2GT is a silver-plated trombone mouthpiece from the Spezial Bruno Tilz 215 series, built with a large bore for bass trombone. Like the rest of the 215 series, Bruno Tilz hand-crafts this mouthpiece in Neustadt an der Aisch, with a slightly deeper cup profile than the comparable 1 1/2G version in the same series. Players choose this mouthpiece when they want a slightly larger bore and cup than the entry model in the 215 series, for extra volume in the lower register. The 27.50 mm cup diameter and 7.40 mm bore pair with a deep cup and a medium-wide rim, giving a broad, supported bass trombone sound. This large-bore trombone mouthpiece suits wind band and symphonic settings that call for plenty of volume in the bass.
