Description
The Bruno Tilz 214 6 1/2 AL -3 -Extra is a silver-plated trombone mouthpiece from the Spezial Tilz 214 line, sharing the same 25.50 mm cup diameter as the AS variant but with a slightly narrower 6.3 mm bore. That small difference gives a bit more resistance and a more focused response, which some players prefer for faster passages or smaller ensemble settings. The medium-deep cup keeps the tone full and warm, suited to symphonic and brass-band repertoire where large bore trombones are common. This trombone mouthpiece is hand-turned in small batches in Neustadt an der Aisch, allowing Tilz to fine-tune the cup shape and bore with precision. A logical choice for players who know the AS model but want a bit more control.
