The Shires Q36GA is a professional bass trombone from the Q Series for advanced players who prioritise warmth and depth in their sound. The 9.5-inch two-piece hand-hammered gold brass bell with QII taper produces a fuller, warmer tone than a yellow brass variant while retaining clear projection. The .562-inch bore pairs with a standard-weight yellow brass handslide and nickel silver crook for crisp articulation. Independent axial flow valves deliver a notably open and even feel in the low register, particularly when both valves are engaged simultaneously. Three interchangeable leadpipes allow for personal adjustment. Case and mouthpiece included.
