The Kühnl & Hoyer 186 28 NZ, also known as the Orchestra Signature, is a professional bass trombone built from a modular system where bell, valves and slide can be configured to your preference. This version has an interchangeable 240 mm brass bell, a size the manufacturer recommends for big band bass trombonists for its compact, direct response. The K&H open flow Quart Valve and Quinte Valve are set in an open wrap for easy response across the whole register. The nickel silver slide is lightweight and fitted with an interchangeable brass lead pipe. The .563" bore (14.3 mm) gives a good balance between body and directness. This bass trombone comes with a lacquered finish, including a mouthpiece. Case not included.
