Josef AS-1

Description

The Josef AS-1 is an oboe designed for beginner to advanced players, built by the Japanese oboe maker Josef, renowned for its rich tone and responsive playing characteristics. The body is made from grenadilla wood, while the specially designed silver-plated keywork features a full conservatoire system with a third octave key. The left-hand F key and B? resonance key on the bell provide stable intonation and a consistent tonal character in the lower register, while the C-C?, C-D and A?-B? trill keys make technical passages easier to play. This combination of features, normally reserved for more expensive instruments, gives the AS-1 a level of response rarely found in an entry-level model.
