Marigaux 930

Description

The Marigaux 930 is the semi-automatic English horn from the French maker Marigaux, which has been building oboes in Paris since 1935. The instrument features a grenadilla wood body that has been seasoned for at least four years, with silver-plated nickel silver keywork, a third octave key, a double octave mechanism and an F lever. The 930 incorporates a newly developed bore and a newly designed bocal, both entirely handcrafted. This results in a direct, flexible low register and an upper register rich in harmonics. Ergonomic refinements make the transition from oboe to English horn especially comfortable. The instrument is supplied with a case and protective cover.
