The Lorée l+3 is the professional oboe d'amore from the Parisian maker F. Lorée, which has been building oboes since 1881. The oboe d'amore is pitched a minor third below the standard oboe and features a distinctive pear-shaped bell that produces a warm, mellow tone. The instrument has a grenadilla wood body, silver-plated nickel silver keywork and a full conservatoire system with semi-automatic octave keys. Lorée's keywork is renowned worldwide for its exceptional precision and reliability. It includes all trill keys, a third octave key and a left-hand F key. The instrument is supplied with two silver-plated bocals. It is an excellent choice for the professional oboist performing Bach repertoire or chamber music in which the oboe d'amore plays an important role.
