Description
The Ayasa D Kurd 12 is a handpan in the D Kurd scale, made from Ember Steel by Ayasa Instruments in Almere, the Netherlands. D Kurd is one of the most popular handpan scales worldwide: a D minor scale that is also playable in F major, with a sound that is both melancholic and warm. This model has 12 notes, with 10 on the top and 2 on the bottom. That makes it accessible for beginners and compact enough for focused melodic phrases. Ember Steel is Ayasa's proprietary steel alloy, offering greater warmth, more sustain, and better stability in varying temperatures and humidity than standard nitrided steel. The patina changes colour over time without affecting sound or tuning.
Explore our complete range of handpans from leading brands such as Ayasa, Sela Percussion and Meinl, available in various scales, tunings and numbers of notes.
