The Evans Strata Staccato 1000 concert snare drum head features a single ply head of 10mil with a coating that resembles traditional calfskin. The thicker layer provides a more dark sound and warm tone. A 2mil overtone control ring improves the articulation and focus of the sound of the drumhead.
