Description
The Istanbul Mehmet TW-SET is a cymbal set for drummers seeking the characteristic sound of the Miles Davis Quintet era. These cymbals are handmade as faithful replicas of the original cymbals played by Tony Williams: his widow Colleen personally brought the originals to the factory in Istanbul, so the bells and hammering could be recreated as precisely as possible. The set includes a 14 inch hi-hat with a warm 'chick', an 18 inch crash with a fast attack and a signature decay, and a 22 inch ride with a dry stick sound and dark, orchestral overtones. For the jazz drummer seeking that vintage Turkish cymbal tone, this set offers an authentic sound character.
