Description
The A&S Tuning Fork 442 is a two-pronged metal tuning fork that sounds the note A at 442 Hz. Many orchestras in Europe tune to this slightly higher pitch instead of 440 Hz. You strike the fork gently against your knee or another soft surface and hold it near your ear. If you place the stem on a wooden table or soundboard, the tone sounds louder. A tuning fork needs no batteries and always works, even when your tuner is flat. The tuning fork is suitable for musicians and conductors in ensembles that tune to A = 442 Hz. If you play at 440 Hz, choose the A&S Tuning Fork 440.
