The La Tromba Pompenvet synthetisch is a synthetic grease for tuning slides, in a 15 gram tub. The grease forms a sealing layer between the inner and outer tube of your slide. This keeps condensation away from the metal, which helps prevent corrosion and stuck slides. La Tromba describes it as a fairly firm grease with the right consistency for tuning slides, temperature-stable and resistant to ageing. Because it also keeps cork supple and protects it from moisture, you can also use it on the cork joints of woodwind instruments. A small amount is enough; wipe off excess grease before sliding the tube back in. The slide grease is suitable for brass players who want to keep their tuning slides smooth and well sealed.
