Prevent Issues with Regular Saxophone Maintenance
It is advisable to have your saxophone checked by a professional repair technician about once a year. During such an inspection, the instrument essentially receives a minor service. This helps keep your saxophone in top condition and ensures that any wear or emerging issues are detected in time. Repairs can often be carried out preventively, helping you avoid unexpected costs. At Adams, you can easily schedule an appointment with one of our certified woodwind instrument specialists. Our repair technicians maintain close contact with the largest saxophone brands and regularly visit factories and workshops. This way, they stay continuously informed about the latest techniques and materials, and your instrument always receives the care and attention it deserves.

Repair department – Expert Service by Specialists
Our wind instrument repair department is where craftsmanship and passion come together. Our experienced and certified repair technicians have extensive knowledge of all types of wind instruments. With utmost precision and the use of high-quality materials, they ensure that each instrument is restored to peak condition. Whether it’s minor adjustments, thorough maintenance, or complex repairs, your instrument is in the best hands with us.
Damage to Your Saxophone?
Has your saxophone fallen, been knocked over, or had another accident? We are happy to prepare a damage report for the insurance, where we will discuss the options with you. Additionally, we will fully repair the instrument in our repair workshop. We will remove all dents from your instrument, straighten it, and re-lacquer or re-silver it. An instrument must be inspected by our repair specialists before they can create a damage report.
Ask us if we have a loan instrument available for the duration of the repair. Always convenient!

Overhaul
- Straightening and removing dents from the neck and body (additional cost upon consultation)
- Fully disassemble
- Clean and/or polish the neck, body, and keys and perform ultrasonic cleaning
- Completely eliminate play in the mechanics
- Replace springs if necessary
- Replace pads, corks, tenon cork, and felts
- Adjusting keys correctly
- Oiling the axles
We use original pads and parts from renowned brands for our overhauls. An upgrade is also possible, for example from cow leather to kangaroo leather pads.
Saxophone Lacquering
Before lacquering a saxophone, it must be dent-free, straightened, and polished. If this needs to be done, an additional fee will always be charged for these services. You can choose from: high gloss lacquer (colorless), matte lacquer, gold lacquer, vintage look lacquer (antique lacquer). For other colors or special requests, please contact us. It is also possible to lacquer only the body, bell, or keys.
Saxophone Silver Plating
Silver plating your saxophone is also possible at Adams Music Centre. The same conditions and possibilities apply for silver plating a saxophone as for lacquering.
Polishing
Thoroughly cleaning your instrument. It is recommended to clean your instrument once every six months. You can do this yourself, or you can have it done by Adams. We thoroughly clean your instrument in our large ultrasonic bath and polish it to make it shine again.
Disclaimer: If the lacquer on your instrument is damaged or peeling in certain areas, it may come off during ultrasonic cleaning. We are not responsible for this.
Replacement Instrument During Repairs
For only €20 per month, with a minimum of €20 per use, you can use a loan instrument during the repair period of your own instrument. The fee you pay is used to keep the loan instruments in top condition after each use. If you need one, please inquire about the available instruments when registering your repair and ask for the terms and conditions.
