Instrument Rental Procedure

Music schools, music associations, and parents of students often face the same question with young musicians: will they stick with it, or will they quit after six months, losing interest in the newly purchased instrument?

Rental Procedure

When you collect a rental instrument, we will draw up a rental agreement. It’s important that you bring valid identification. You sign the agreement on-site and pay the rent for the first 6 months in advance. This payment also serves as a deposit.

After the first 6 months, you will receive a message from us and you have three options:

  • Extend the rental period once for another 6 months. You pay the full 6 months’ rent in advance again.
  • You purchase the rented instrument, and all of the paid rental fee will be deducted from the purchase price.
  • Stop renting and return the instrument. You may also return it by post with sufficient postage.

At the end of the second 6-month term, you will receive another message from us. You then have two options:

  • Purchase the rented instrument. You will receive 80% of the total rent paid as a refund.
  • Stop renting and return the instrument. You may also return it by post with sufficient postage.

Rental Terms & Conditions

  • The dates stated on the rental form are binding.
  • The renter is fully responsible for any damage to the instrument, regardless of the cause.
  • The renter is responsible for routine maintenance.
  • Repairs, adjustments, and other technical work may only be carried out by Adams Muziekcentrale B.V.
  • If the instrument is returned in poor condition, repair and/or cleaning costs will be charged to the renter.
  • Until full payment has been made, the instrument remains the property of Muziekcentrale Adams B.V. in Ittervoort and Lummen.

How do you receive the instrument?

  • You can order the instrument by phone or email.
  • You can pick it up in our store, or we can ship it to you.
  • Before shipping, we prepare the instrument to be ready to play.
  • We will send the rental contract in duplicate; you return one signed copy along with a copy of valid ID.
  • Once we have received these, we will ship the instrument to you via cash on delivery (COD).
