Workshop Alexander Technique: F. M. Alexander
'When you stop doing the wrong thing, the right thing does itself'
We often misuse our body without realizing it. This misuse leads to habits that can limit our mobility. In this workshop, we will search for more balance in our body. We’ll learn to consciously give directions WHILE we move, sit, play, eat,... We’ll learn to move more consciously – and with less 'control'.
Alexander Technique:
- guides you through a learning process to move more freely with less effort
- shows that your body functions well when you use it well
- addresses “bad” habits and offers tools for a more conscious way of moving
- works in harmony with the body’s natural skeletal and muscular mechanisms
- improves physical well-being
- is accessible to anyone who chooses coordinated thinking and movement in daily life
- brings more harmony to the psycho-physical being and balances energy consumption
- is taught in individual lessons. The teacher gives verbal instructions and uses light hands-on contact as part of the technique
