Zacky (GR)

Zacky (Athanasios Tsoukas) lives in Germany but was born in Greece. At the age of 10, he began drumming and played Greek music with his uncle. In Germany, he recorded his first CD with the band “Attack” in 1989. This was followed by several internationally successful CDs. In the meantime, Zacky toured with John Hayes (guitarist for “Mother’s Finest”).

In 1996, Zacky went to Los Angeles for a workshop at the Music Institute. He later toured in Germany with Juliana Weding and recorded the “5000 Watts” CD. In 2000, Zacky played in the band “Fair Warning,” which supported Status Quo on their Germany and Japan tour. After that, he was invited to tour and record with Dr. Soul. In 2002, Zacky joined the world tour of Afghan singer Farhad Darya. In 2003, he toured with Al Bano (Al Bano & Romina Power), whom he still performs with today. In 2005, he supported Swiss actress and singer Mia Aegerter, featuring guest Ronan Keating. Since 2004, Zacky has regularly appeared on the “Harald Schmidt Show” as part of the Helmut Zerlett Band.
