Ron van Stratum, a drummer/percussionist based in the Netherlands, divides his time between teaching at the Conservatorium of Maastricht and performing live or in the studio. While he can play virtually any style, Ron is especially recognized for his work in fusion, jazz, and Latin music. In addition to having played with renowned musicians such as Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Mike Mainieri, Chris Eidens, and John Beasley, Van Stratum is also involved in group projects like Mustique and Surfcake, and leads his own fusion band, the Ron van Stratum Band.
