Hobus, Igor (NL)

For his fifth birthday, Igor Hobus received a children’s drum set from his parents. The next day, it was already destroyed. Inspired by the Dutch music show ‘Toppop’, Igor became completely hooked on music and drumming. He joined a marching band and eventually became the drum major of the Royal Wood and Brasswind Band of Horst. Shortly after, he bought his first real drum kit to play punk rock with friends.

Twenty years later, Igor has recorded nine studio albums with DE HEIDEROOSJES and performed over 1,500 shows around the world, including twice at Rock Werchter and three times at Pukkelpop. He is endorsed by Adams Drums, Paiste Cymbals, Pro Mark Sticks, Aquarian, and Hardcase.

And yes, Igor is still the drum major of the Royal Wood and Brasswind Band of Horst.
