DWF 2026 - Pete Ray Biggin (UK)
On Sunday 4 October 2026, Pete Ray Biggin appeared at Drumworld Festival at Adams Music Centre. The British drummer, known for his work with Level 42 and Mark Ronson, gave a drum clinic in the concert hall. In our Hall of Fame, the photographs on this page look back on his visit.
Groove is at the heart of Biggin's playing. He combines funk, soul, jazz, fusion and pop with a distinctive sense of timing, a deep pocket and creative fills. His musical experience includes collaborations with Amy Winehouse, Chaka Khan and Incognito, among others. Alongside his work as a live and session drummer, he is a clinician, teacher and bandleader of his own funk band, PB Underground.
His talent was recognised early: at the age of twelve, he won the national Drummers Alliance Beat "93 Under-16 competition. He went on to build an international career that embraces both playing with others and developing his own musical ideas. His drum clinic at Drumworld Festival 2026 was made possible by Tama & Zildjian.
