DWF 2026 - Gergo Borlai (HU)
On Sunday 4 October 2026, Gergo Borlai appeared at Drumworld Festival at Adams Music Centre. The Hungarian drummer, composer and producer gave a drum clinic in the concert hall. In our Hall of Fame, the photographs on this page look back on his visit.
Borlai combines influences from jazz, fusion, funk and rock with a deep groove and a refined sense of dynamics. His playing features complex rhythms, fluid time signature changes and creative improvisation. Technical mastery and musical expression go hand in hand: speed and independence always serve the music.
Borlai developed into a versatile musician from an early age. He built an international career, worked with artists across different genres and can be heard on hundreds of recordings. Alongside his work on stage and in the studio, he gives masterclasses and clinics worldwide, sharing his musical approach with fellow drummers. His drum clinic at Drumworld Festival 2026 was made possible by Gretsch & Zildjian.
