DWF 2026 - Benny Greb (DE)
On Sunday 4 October 2026, Benny Greb appeared at Drumworld Festival at Adams Music Centre. The German drummer, composer and educator gave a drum clinic in the concert hall. In our Hall of Fame, the photographs on this page look back on his visit.
Greb combines his work as a performing musician with a broad interest in music education. He has headlined international drum festivals and travelled the world giving clinics and drum camps. As a composer and solo artist, he has also developed a distinct musical identity. With his band MovingParts, he received the Echo Jazz Award.
His approach to drumming, groove and practising is reflected in his educational publications The Language of Drumming, The Art and Science of Groove and Effective Practising for Musicians. Through these works, he shares his knowledge and experience with fellow musicians. In February 2023, at the personal invitation of Cathy Rich, he performed as guest drummer in eight concerts with the Buddy Rich Big Band in London. His drum clinic at Drumworld Festival 2026 was made possible by Sonor & Meinl.
