DWF 2016 - Dre Energy
In true Drumworld Festival tradition, this year’s lineup will once again feature an unmatched gospel chops drummer: Dre Energy. On that festival day, no fewer than six top drummers will give clinics and concerts on the Slagwerkkrant Stage in the beautiful hall of Adams Drumworld. In the coming months, we will announce the full program. Back in April, we already announced in Slagwerkkrant and on Slagwerkkrant.nl that this edition’s headliner will be Dave Weckl. More recently, we also revealed the second and third names: Czech top drummer Milos Meier and Myron Matitawaer. And now, Dre Energy joins the lineup.
Andre Boyd AKA Dre Energy started playing drums in church at a young age in his hometown of St. Louis. He is currently on a world tour with Cirque du Soleil’s Quidam show. Previously, he performed with The Golden Gospel Singers, Dolemite, Shirley Murdock, Vasti Jackson, The Family, Denise Thimes, and Gregg “Happyguitar” Haynes. His chops are relentless. He didn’t earn the nickname 'Energy' for nothing!
