DWF 2014 - Juan van Emmerloot
Drummer Juan van Emmerloot is coming to the Adams Drum Festival in Ittervoort with his solo project 'Burnin' The Rules'! Van Emmerloot has toured extensively with legendary guitarists such as Snowy White, Steve Lukather, Popa Chubby, Pat Travers, and Stef Burns.

As a session musician, Van Emmerloot has worked with well-known Dutch artists like Kaz Lux, Julya Lo’Ko, Robby Valentine, and Waylon. In 1992, Juan started his own drum school, teaching over 45 students weekly over the years. From the 1990s onward, he embarked on international tours, performing with artists such as Mick Moody and Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake), Walter Trout, Popa Chubby, Omar Dykes (Omar & The Howlers), Snowy White, Steve Lukather, Pat Travers, and Stef Burns (Huey Lewis & The News).
From 2000, he taught many talented drummers at Codarts, the Rotterdam Conservatory, collaborating closely with fellow top drummer Hans Eijkenaar.
Juan’s musical career extends beyond drumming. At this event, he presents his debut album ‘Burnin’ The Rules’, where he takes on the roles of drummer, composer, producer, and arranger. The album is released under the label TheRoomRecordings.
