Workshop Melodic and Tonal Improvisation – Moving towards free play.
With mindful presence, the musician appears to connect with qualities that make the playing more pleasant and the musical result more expressive. While practicing “scales”, one can enhance a spatial quality through embracing the mode´s character, and tonal gravity, which reinforces the presence and listening qualities for the musician.
The methods suggest a path towards a freer, and more focused playing.
